Digital Imaging of Family History Material

Digitisation is an excellent tool for preserving the information in a volume or document and makes it easily accessible via the Internet, shared media or printed hardcopies.

High quality facsimile copies can be made from digital files and these can be displayed or exhibited instead of an original item thus enabling the original item to be stored and protected in a suitable archival enclosure.

We can digitise single sheet items and bound volumes using our high spec DSLR camera and copy stand and supply images in RAW, Jpeg, Tiff and PDF file formats to suit your requirements.

Digital Imaging Examples

All of these Images have been created using our high spec DSLR camera system.
Bound items are supported on a custom-made, adjustable cradle to enable pages to be digitally captured whilst minimising the stress on the binding structure.
All images are captured under cold lighting as RAW images which are then processed on our software and re-formatted as JPEG, Tiff or PDF files.
